The Oktoberfest is the world's largest Volksfest, featuring a beer festival and a travelling funfair. It is held annually in Munich, Bavaria, Germany.

Oktoberfest in Munich 2022 will begin on Saturday, September 17 and ends on Monday, October 3.

In addition to eating, drinking and dancing, visitors can enjoy colourful parades, a variety of fairground rides, and for those not themselves in traditional Bavarian gear, admire those that are.

It is attended by six million people each year.

There is no entrance fee to get into Munich's Oktoberfest. But there are many other Oktoberfest expenses incurred, such as buying beers and food, plus travel expenses and accommodation costs.
