*Are you an Australian or New Zealand citizen? Getting a working holiday visa in Hungary is easy! Check out this article for more info!*
How to apply:
In order to apply to join the PartyBookers Budapest team and to receive further information on any of the available positions, please send an email to email@example.com.
You’re fluent in English, have a responsible attitude and amazing problem-solving and customer service skills.
You love to party and meet new people, but are also interested in the organisational side of running events.
Having an EU passport or Hungarian work permit is useful but not necessary.
You’re able to commit for at least 2 months.
Being familiar with Budapest is very useful, but not necessary.
Having previous experience in event planning and organisation is very useful, but not necessary.
What’s the job:
As Event Staff you’re the frontline of PartyBookers and are there to help our events run smoothly. While making sure that our guests feel entertained, safe and taken care of at our pub crawls and boat parties, you should also be ready to be the life of the party. A typical night at work as an Event Staff will include guiding guests from place to place, handing out welcome shots and getting everyone involved in a round of drinking games, among other tasks.
If you are confident and have a bubbly personality you can also join our promo team. You’ll have the opportunity to promote night-time events and daytime activities at our partner hostels, create a party vibe, and play drinking games with travellers from all over the world
Event Staff receive free drinks as well as a competitive hourly pay any time they work an event. Promoters receive commission on any tickets sold on promo shifts. You will also be provided with accommodation in a shared dorm, or if you want to find an apartment for yourself we will help you with this as well.
From time to time, shifts for these positions may become available.
Good news! When you work for PartyBookers you’ll get food and bevvie discounts at some of our partner locations around the city. Even better news: you can have the chance to work as a bartender in one of those locations! Positions will be available on our boat parties as well.
We know you’re a prime candidate if:
You’re proficient in English
You’re energetic and attentive, a wizard at multitasking, and committed to serving with a smile and friendly attitude
You have an EU passport or a permit to work in Hungary
If you’ve got experience working behind a bar in a fast-paced environment, that’s a bonus!
Our company group will be operating 3 food + beverage locations this summer, and like all our staff, our cooks are an integral part of our family! Consider yourself a guardian of hangovers--the better the drunk food, the better the morning after, right? And speaking of the morning after - one of our locations will also be providing breakfast specials for our adjoining hostel. There’s no better way to make new friend bonds than sharing stories from the night before while seeing them feast on your hearty breakfast creations!
Experience working as a short-order cook in high-volume locations
EU passport or permit to work in Hungary
Firm knowledge of Food Hygiene standards (HACCP etc.)
Preparing orders and serving them with a smile
Maintaining active communication with our bar + serving staff about items running low or out of stock
Maintaining a clean workspace and ensuring that all hygiene regulations are followed
Doing basic inventory checks at the start and end of every shift
If you care about making good food and providing an impeccable service for your customers, we want you! If you have a creative flair and want to offer your own ideas to our breakfast menu and weekly specials, even better!
