Besides amazing sights and unique nightlife, Budapest has some crazy activities for any adrenaline junkies out there!
Over 12,000 feet up and only one way down, skydiving is the ultimate adrenaline rush. Located only an hour outside the city, Skydiving Budapest operate tandem skydives over Lake Balaton- the biggest lake in central Europe. Don’t scream too much though! Their qualified and experienced staff will capture every moment on video for the ultimate souvenir. Skydiving season only runs from April to October, but don’t worry winter travellers! If you want to get up in the air, you can always book a hot air balloon ride instead!
Whether it’s wintertime, or you just couldn’t handle the real thing, Budapest once again has a solution! A giant wind tunnel will lift you into the air, giving you all the thrill of real skydiving while keeping you close to the ground. And don’t worry- a video of your ‘jump’ is still included in the price!
Looking for a bit of quiet after a heavy weekend at the ruin bars? Well, what could be quieter than a cave underwater! Located only a 30 minute walk from the city centre, you can explore a completely hidden gem of Budapest. Qualified cave divers will take you on a once in a lifetime tour through one of the city’s stunning geothermal caves, known for its warm, crystal clear water. Unfortunately, you need an Advanced Open Water Diving certification to book this tour. If you’re not a qualified diver, you’re still in luck...
Budapest is famous for its caves, and not all of them are underwater! Explore one of the longest cave systems in Hungary with an exciting and challenging adventure caving tour or, if crawling through tight spaces isn’t really your thing, a more relaxed cave walk will still satisfy any adventurous traveller.
There are some opportunities in life that you just don’t pass up; driving a tank is definitely one of them. Your instructor will give you a full training session before letting you lose for an hour in Budapest’s Cold War Park. The only rule is that you can’t shoot at anyone. Once again though, Budapest has got you covered...And if you stick around until after the sun sets, why not add on a night tour in a Soviet 4x4? Buckle up!
Any backpacker knows, if you’ve been travelling with a group of friends for a while, there’s probably at least one that’s getting on your nerves. Work it out in a healthy and constructive way- shoot them! Safely and non-fatally of course. With four hours to play, 1000 bullets, four open air fields and a huge underground area, this will be the most intense-but fun-experience of your life, and a definite must for any big group or stag party! Also prime for aiming and letting off steam? Laser tag, axe throwing, and even airsofting!
